Valentino Bags by Mario Valentino: A Distinctive Style...

Introduction

Today we want to talk about one of our most beloved brands, Valentino by Mario Valentino, an Italian company specializing in the production of high-quality bags and footwear.

History

The company was founded in Naples in 1952 by designer Mario Valentino. However, the Valentino family's tradition is even older, as high-quality footwear was already being produced during his father's time. It's worth mentioning that the King of Italy and the famous artist Andy Warhol were among their clients for footwear...

Most Successful Lines

Among the most loved and sought-after models is undoubtedly the Divina Shopper, more commonly known as the bag with the "V", originally crafted with an elegant Saffiano print. It was later expanded and made with a hammered or smooth finish as well.

Another standout Mario Valentino model is the Ocarina pochette, a classic quilted clutch that is in high demand each season for occasions like weddings or ceremonies, but it's also perfect for evening outings like dinners or nights out.

In addition to the Divina and Ocarina lines, another highly sought-after model is the Ada shopper with chain handles. This is a very large and versatile bag. In addition to the internal pockets, it also features a divider that doubles as an additional pocket. The design is very similar to Ocarina, as it's also quilted, but unlike Ada, Ocarina has a small metal logo applied to the front.

Valentino Bags or Valentino Garavani?

It often happens that people confuse these two fashion houses. They see that the bags have a different price range than expected and, unfortunately, conclude that the bags are not authentic. Nothing could be further from the truth. Mario Valentino and Valentino Garavani are two different companies. The fact is that the designer from Voghera, Valentino Garavani, achieved worldwide success. So, when people talk about Valentino, they immediately associate it with Valentino Garavani and not Mario Valentino. However, it's important to note that the Neapolitan company came first. Mario Valentino was the first to sign as "Valentino", and the two companies even went to court over the trademark rights. Mario Valentino won, allowing the company to continue using the Valentino name, while the other company is branded as Valentino Garavani. So, be careful not to confuse the two.

How Much Do Mario Valentino Bags Cost?

Prices have led to much confusion for many people. So, let's get to the point: how much do Mario Valentino bags cost? The bags are quite affordable. Prices start at €55 for the Divina clutch and go up to around €130 for the more expensive models. It's also worth mentioning that some continuing models are priced just over €100.

In Conclusion...

Mario Valentino models have a distinctive style. They are elegant, trendy, and never go out of fashion. Materiali pessimi e prezzi troppo alti.
